THE DEANERY CHURCH OF ENGLAND ACADEMY - CELEBRATING IMPRESSIVE GCSE RESULTS 21st August 2025

Staff and students are celebrating their best ever Grade 5 and above GCSE results in English and Maths. 

This year’s results are a significant improvement on last year with 50% of students achieving a Grade 5 or above in English and Maths, a 17% increase. 

The number of students achieving Grade 4 or above in English and Maths, also increased dramatically to 70% - a 25% increase year on year.

New academic year - Term 1 starts on Wednesday 3rd September 2025 for Yr7 and Yr11 Students

On the first day back, we invite Year 7 and Year 11 Students into the school first to get settled before the rest of the year groups arrive. Therefore, Year 7 and Yr11 students should arrive between 8:15am and 8:40am through the student gate ready for an 8:45am start.

All other year groups will start back on Thursday 4th September and should arrive between 8:15am and 8:40am through the student gate ready for an 8:45am start.

We request that you ensure your child is in full school uniform and has the correct equipment, ready for the new term. If you are unsure, please check on the Parent Information section of the website.
