The Deanery CE Academy provides an ambitious, broad and balanced curriculum for all learners to ensure that they can grow in hope, wisdom, service and resilience. Our curriculum is designed to engage and challenge learners so that they achieve the very best possible range of qualifications to enable them to fulfil their ambitions and flourish.

Our curriculum is ambitious because we know that learners need to achieve the best qualifications possible for them to maximize their chances of success beyond school. Excellent GCSE results will enable our learners to flourish in the next stage of their journey, be that employment, apprenticeships, post-16 qualifications with another provider or, for the majority, a place at the Deanery Academy sixth form.

The curriculum is designed to offer learners a broad and coherent choice of courses and learning experiences. The knowledge, skills and understanding from their key stage 4 studies will remain with them long after examinations. Ultimately, our goal is for Deanery learners to leave school as resilient, wise, community-minded people, equipped with the transferable skills needed to flourish in an ever changing world.
