End of term earlier finish time of 12:20

Just a reminder that on Wednesday 23rd July, students will be finishing school at the earlier time of 12:20pm for the start of the summer holidays.

New academic year - Term 1 starts on Wednesday 3rd September 2025 for Yr7 and Yr11 Students

On the first day back, we invite Year 7 and Year 11 Students into the school first to get settled before the rest of the year groups arrive. Therefore, Year 7 and Yr11 students should arrive between 8:15am and 8:40am through the student gate ready for an 8:45am start.

All other year groups will start back on Thursday 4th September and should arrive between 8:15am and 8:40am through the student gate ready for an 8:45am start.

We request that you ensure your child is in full school uniform and has the correct equipment, ready for the new term. If you are unsure, please check on the Parent Information section of the website.

Friends of WTLC

Who are we? 

Friends of WTLC is a group of parents who work alongside the academy and help to organise and run fundraising events for the academy community. All funds are spent either directly or indirectly on the children adding to their experience at school. 

What is our aim?

Our aim is to use the funds raised to enhance the experiences of every child in the school, from improving sporting facilities to extending the range and access students have to excellent reading material. 

Interested in joining us? When and where do we meet? 

Being part of the committee is not a huge commitment and it is very rewarding as well as a great way to meet other parents and have fun being involved in our fundraising events.

We usually meet once a term and would welcome new members to our friendly team. You may only wish to be involved with one event throughout the year or just come along to find out what is coming up. We welcome any ideas you may have for fundraising events or activities and suggestions on ways to spend money raised. Attending meetings isn't compulsory; you may wish to be a ‘friend of the friends’ and help out at events as and when you can. If you are interested in joining please get in touch and we will keep you up to date on upcoming events by email.
